MIF Scholarship Opening Feb 9, 2026 - Closing March 20, 2026
On June 19, 2025 — Juneteenth — our community experienced an immeasurable loss with the passing of Maxumus Isaiah Fraser.
Max was known for his compassion, generosity, humor, and ability to uplift others, even while carrying his own battles. His life was marked by encouragement, quiet strength, and love for people.
The To The Max Foundation exists not to define Max by tragedy, but to continue his legacy.
Maxumus I. Fraser, affectionately known as Max, was a young man whose life was marked by purpose, discipline, faith, and service to others. Though his time with us was brief, his impact was profound—and it continues through the mission of To The Max Impact Foundation.
From an early age, Max pursued excellence in everything he did. At just five years old, he began training in martial arts, eventually earning a second-degree black belt and serving as a junior instructor and youth mentor. He was known not only for his skill, but for his leadership, patience, and ability to uplift those around him.
An accomplished athlete, Max competed in cross country and was proud to be part of Maryland’s first Black triathlete team. His commitment to physical fitness and safety led him to serve his community as a certified lifeguard, always willing to step in where help was needed.
Beyond athletics, Max had a growing passion for business, finance, and personal growth. His leadership and ambition earned him selection to attend the National Youth Forum on Business Innovation in 2023. After graduating from Owings Mills High School in 2024, he began his professional journey in the financial industry while preparing to continue his education.
At the core of Max’s life was his faith. A devoted believer, his relationship with God guided his decisions, grounded his character, and shaped the way he treated others—with kindness, humility, and purpose.
Max believed in pushing beyond limits, supporting others, and leaving every space better than he found it. To The Max Impact Foundation was created to honor that belief by empowering youth, supporting education and career pathways, and encouraging young people to live with intention, discipline, and faith.
Though Max’s life was short in years, it was rich in meaning. His legacy lives on through every life inspired to go to the max.
